St. Anthony’s Gardens, A Senior Living Ministry of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, is pleased to announce the opening of a leasing office and appointment of three key executives to lead its all-new retirement living community. Currently under construction next to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the independent living, assisted living and memory care community is scheduled to open this fall on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain.
Corey Leftwich will serve as Executive Director, Kit Friedrichs-Baumann as Director of Marketing and Sales and Julie Portmann as Residency Counselor. The three appointees begin their work in the leasing office located in the former Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 4465 Highway 190 East Service Road in Covington, Louisiana.
“I am delighted to be joining St. Anthony’s Gardens now,” says Leftwich. “It will be a pleasure introducing this beautiful new retirement community to seniors and families living on the Northshore of New Orleans and beyond.”
Leftwich is positioned to help St. Anthony’s Gardens because he joins the community with start-up experience. He helped two new assisted living and memory care communities open their doors and begin operations in the last four years in roles ranging from Business Office Manager and Director of Operations to Memory Care Director and Executive Director.
“Having Kit at my side to help with marketing from the beginning will also be an asset,” Leftwich says. “Although the community is so unique, we expect it to fill up fast! It truly reflects a new and different level of senior living.”
Friedrichs-Baumann, who served as Director of Marketing and Events for Saint Joseph Abbey and Seminary College prior to St. Anthony’s Gardens as Director of Marketing, agrees.
“At St. Anthony’s Gardens, residents will be treated to a beautifully appointed new private residence with maintenance-free living,” she says. “Plus access to quality short- or long-term care, and plenty of opportunities for social, educational and recreational activities—all in an environment rooted in Catholic principles and tradition.”
The third new team member will act as Residency Counselor. Portmann joins St. Anthony’s Gardens with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare marketing and education.
“Julie is also a terrific addition to the group,” says Leftwich. “She has held various roles in senior living that demonstrate her skills and passion for counseling seniors and families about lifestyle and care options.”
When complete, St. Anthony’s Gardens will offer 214 residences, consisting of 120 apartments for independent living in one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans, 57 apartments for assisted living with floor plans ranging in size from one and two bedrooms to studios and 36 private suites for memory care. The community will be located at 601 Holy Trinity Drive in Covington next to the recently completed Most Holy Trinity Church.
St. Anthony’s Gardens is A Senior Living Ministry of the Archdiocese of New Orleans and will be managed by Life Care Services, an LCS Company. The community is committed to providing equal housing opportunities for all races, religions and ethnic groups, and disabilities.
